Arniston Estate currently has four delightful holiday properties available to rent.  Visitors enjoy the best of both worlds staying in beautiful grounds in the tranquil countryside but central Edinburgh is just short trip away.  Nearby there is Vogrie Country Park, Rosslyn Chapel, Temple Village, The Scottish Mining Museum and, for biking enthusiasts, Glentress Biking Trails all within easy access. Local pubs, restaurants, cafes, a spa and shops are all a short drive away.  An 11 mile trip to Edinburgh’s first class art galleries and museums, the capital’s eclectic mix of restaurants and bars plus its boutique shopping experience all adds up to a great day out. Alternatively fishing, shooting, estate tours or a private tour of the house can be booked on request.

Lime and Chestnut Cottages form part of the old Forrester’s Cottages and are situated on the stunning Lime Avenue Drive. The properties are south facing terraced cottages and have been decorated and furnished with a truly contemporary twist. Hidden away in a tranquil courtyard with views over farmland to the north and a courtyard to the south, these renovated cottages offer a real opportunity to relax and explore the surrounding area as well as the grounds of Arniston House during your stay.  We welcome pets to Lime and Chestnut Cottages.

Lime and Chestnut Cottages are available to book through Scotland Cottages using property reference numbers 5036 and 5037.  Prices range from £340 to £610.

Lime Cottage – (Ref:5036) – Sleeps 4/6

Ground floor: Entrance hall, sitting/dining room with wood burning stove and sofa bed for the occasional extra guest. Well equipped kitchen. 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room, WC and wash hand basin.

First floor: 1 double room with comb ceiling. Bathroom with bath, WC and wash hand basin and separate shower cubicle.

Gardener’s House is available to book through the estate office.  Prices range from £650 to £800.

This is a newly refurbished house and is a truly unique property set into the old Walled Garden at Arniston.  The property is secluded and sits by a gentle running stream which flows to the Sunken Garden.
